Register Your Off-Road Bike with Motobase

Registering your off-road bike with Motobase is a simple process:

  1. Create an Account: Sign up for a free account on the Motobase App.
  2. Add Your Bike Details: Navigate to your bikes section and select the option to add a new bike.
  3. Enter Details: Provide the required information about your bike, including make, model, year, and crucially, the unique chassis number (often referred to as the VIN).
  4. Save: Review the details you’ve entered and submit your registration. Your bike’s information will be securely stored in our database.

By registering your bike, you create a verifiable record of ownership linked to its chassis number.

How to Search for a Vehicle

Go to the Search Page: We have created a free dedicated search on the Motobase App.

Enter Chassis Number: Input the chassis number (VIN) of the bike you want to check into the search bar.

Search Database: Our system will search the registered database for any matching records flagged as stolen.

View Results: The search results will indicate if the chassis number is found in our stolen bike database.

Making the Off-Road Racing Community Safer

Motobase is committed to working with the off-road racing community to combat bike theft. By providing a centralised database for registering bikes and a simple way to check for stolen vehicles, we aim to:

  • Deter Theft: The knowledge that bikes are registered and traceable makes them less attractive targets for thieves.
  • Aid Recovery: In the unfortunate event of a theft, registration information can significantly assist in identifying and returning stolen bikes to their rightful owners.
  • Prevent Use of Stolen Bikes at Tracks: We are actively working with race organisers and tracks to encourage checks against our database, making it more difficult for stolen bikes to be used in competitive events. This helps protect the integrity of the sport and ensures a safer environment for all participants.
